Finley Motors held our annual customer appreciation supper along with our car show on Thursday June 6th, 2024.  We kicked off the festivities for our town celebration days.  A meal was served and a free will was taken to help support the Finley-Sharon Scholarship fund.  Everyone in attendance listened to Blue English while enjoying the food and conversations with their neighbors. We wanted to help everyone get off to a good start this school year.  Finley Motors purchased items to give to the area schools for their teacher closets. As you can see the staff and students were happy with all the supplies that were given.  HAVE A GREAT SCHOOL YEAR KIDS AND TEACHERS!!!!!!

Finley Motors and Steele County Food Pantry teamed up to get kids ready for school.  We had tags at Finley Motors that community members came and picked up, they  bought supplies and packed a backpack for the area youth.  We have great community here and when the need is there the community steps up to help.  Thank you to everyone that helped in many ways to get the kids ready for school.

Finley Motors Chevrolet has helped Ice Dawgs Hockey Score Big on the Ice. We are a proud sponsor of the team and are very proud of all their accomplishments on and off the ice. Keep up the good work!!!!!

Finley Motors Chevrolet teamed up with Ice Dawgs Hockey for 2022-2023 season

Finley, - In the spirit of teamwork taught by youth sports, Finley Motors Chevrolet is joining Ice Dawgs Hockey to provide players and coaches with hockey equipment kits that include hockey pucks, t-shirts, knit caps, a sponsorship check and an opportunity for community members to earn donations for their league via a Test Drive fundraiser.

Finley Motors Chevrolet is also presenting a check representing a one-time monetary contribution to Ice Dawgs Hockey.

"Playing the game of hockey helps kids develop skills like leadership, cooperation and sportsmanship while bringing families and communities together to show their support. Finley Motors Chevrolet and Chevy Youth hockey are proud to participate in a sport that brings so many smiles to kids and families in Mayville-Portland area," said Karl Christian, "Chevrolet believes that in play, there are possibilities and supports the spirit of teamwork that hockey instills in its players."

Some leagues plan to grant scholarships to families who cannot afford to enroll their children in the league, while others will use the funds to improve facilities and equipment.

"Finley Motors Chevrolet supports youth hockey because Chevrolet believes play opens up all kinds of possibilities for these kids and the community," said Christian. "We hope that giving them the opportunity to raise much needed funds will make this a great season for Ice Dawgs Hockey."

Thank you to everyone that stopped in to take a test drive for the ICE DAWG Hockey team with each test drive taken the club earned $25 more with a grand total of $500. 

 

Finley Motors along with Steele County Food pantry collected school supplies for area children to get them ready for school.  We want to thank  everyone that donated items.


 

 


Finley Motors helped sponsor  items to be put in the bags for the Winterfest parade that was held in Mayville.  Each child in attendance was given a bag filled with goodies.
 
 
 
 
 

Finley Motors was a proud sponsor of the annual youth pheasant hunt that was held this past Sunday.  Finley Wildlife Club held this event in Finley and we partnered with them to make some lasting memories of enjoying the outdoors.  Thank you to the Finley Wildlife Club for organizing this event for the youth and making it possible.  It was a great success and we were happy to sponsor this event.

 
 
 
 

 
  
 
 
 
 
  
Back To School

Finley Motors visited with area schools to see what was needed for students to get back to school.  We purchased a variety of supplies to be put to use for students and teachers in 6 different schools.  Each school has a teacher closet that is stocked with supplies and given out to students that are in need.  We feel that it is important to help them out because so many of the teachers reach into their own pockets to stock their rooms or teachers closet with supplies that are needed for the children.  Finley Motors wanted to ease the burden of expense for all involved.  We felt it was one way to thank the teachers for teaching our youth and thank them for their dedication.

Finley Motors in both Finley and Mayville held a back to school drive partnering with Steele -Traill Agassiz Social Services.  We collected school supplies and packed back packs for the youth in the surrounding county.  

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Finley Motors helped the community of Sharon for their 125th celebration by donating towards their kiddie parade.  It is a small town with big hearts and their goal was to make sure that all kids ended the afternoon with prizes.  

 
 
 

Finley Motors sponsored Root beer floats at our local pool for their last night of swimming.  The Finley pool had a family swim for their last night and we provided root beer floats and pool toys for everyone in attendance.  The kids and adults loved the ice cream while swimming and watching the kids enjoy the last days of summer.  

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

David Brandon (Grover) with Finley Motors of Mayville was one of many local presenters at the 2021 Marketplace for Kids held at MSU, Mayville. Grover spoke to 200 area kids throughout the day about careers in the automotive industry.

 

 
 

We are very excited to be a part of something great!  Finley Motors is sponsoring Scholastic Book Club books (1 book/mo.) for each child in grades K-6 this school year at the Finley-Sharon School.  At the end of the school year, each child will have 9 new books for their library at home!  Because there will be extras, Finley Motors has decided to donate to the Finley Pubic library as well!  This will help to grow our library's variety of new books, specifically for K-6 reading levels.  Each month, our library could potentially be getting 5-6 new children's books!  Thank you, Finley Motors, Inc.-Finley, ND!
